Before partition, Rawalpindi was a home to thousands of Hindu families which lived here peacefully. After the events of 1947, a lot of them migrated to India yet some decided to stay in their city and continue their lives.
Today, the city is full of traces of the community that once lived here in a huge number. Old and dilated temples can be found in every neighborhood of the old Rawalpindi.
Although there are numerous temples yet only one Shamshaan Ghaat remains.
